The Ossining Food Pantry is a 100% volunteer organization – we have NO paid staff – including our President!   We have multiple programs that run throughout the week with our volunteers to purchase, organize, and distribute both shelf-stable and fresh food to our hundreds of families & clients every week – including the homebound.  Our clients include but are not limited to families, veterans, single parents, seniors on fixed incomes, underemployed, unemployed – and so many more.

OR, you may also email us at    OssFoodPanVolunteers@gmail.com
Please provide us your

We need volunteers!
Our current needs are below….

Wednesday AM Unload THE Truck – A FREE workout!

This program runs for approximately an hour and a half each week on Wednesday mornings. Timing is entirely dependent upon the arrival time of the Feeding Westchester delivery truck. The truck can arrive anytime between 8 am and 9:30 am. Once the arrival time of the truck is known by the Team Leader, they will send out an ‘all call’ text message to the volunteers to come down to Trinity Church to get started (that way no one has to be waiting around too long).

Volunteers are needed to help to offload heavy crates and cartons of food from the Feeding Westchester truck; carry cartons and crates into the appropriate distribution areas; set up tables. For more details, mention this program when you fill out our Volunteer With Us Form.

Fresh Produce Pick Up Drivers Needed

Volunteers are needed to pick up crated fresh vegetables from Croton on Saturday mornings during ‘growing season’ (i.e. June, July, August, mid-September) and drive them to Grace Trinity Church in Ossining to store for later distribution. A large vehicle is preferrable. For more details, mention this program when you fill out our Volunteer With Us Form.

Thursday AM Drivers Needed

Two delivery programs work together on the 1st & 3rd Thursday morning of every month.

Starting at about 8:00 am to about 8:45 am, volunteers use their own vehicles to deliver prepacked grocery bags of food to an Ossining agency as well as our local homebound clients.  Volunteers should be able to carry shopping bags weighing ~25 lbs.  Volunteers need a valid drivers license and their own vehicle. For more details, mention this program when you fill out our Volunteer With Us Form.
